About the Role
Our client, an acclaimed architectural practice renowned for its elegant residential designs, is seeking a talented Residential Architect to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh . This role focuses on the design and delivery of high-quality private residences, from bespoke individual homes to multi-unit developments, with a strong emphasis on contemporary aesthetics, sustainable living, and exceptional craftsmanship. You will be involved in all phases of the design process, from client consultation and conceptual design through to site supervision. This is an ideal opportunity for an architect passionate about creating beautiful, functional living spaces that respond thoughtfully to their context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process for a variety of residential projects, from concept to completion.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their vision, needs, and aspirations for their homes.
- Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and specifications for residential construction.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, interior designers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
- Research and propose sustainable materials and construction techniques relevant to residential design.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with a passion for residential design and a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in architectural practice, with a significant focus on residential projects.
- Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and graphic presentation software.
- Good understanding of current building regulations and planning policies relevant to residential development in Scotland.
- Excellent communication, client liaison, and project management skills.
- An eye for detail, material quality, and spatial design.
