About the Role

Our client, a boutique architectural practice renowned for its high-quality residential designs, is seeking a talented Residential Architect to join their team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for designing and managing a range of residential projects, from bespoke private homes to multi-unit developments. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in high-end residential architecture, working closely with clients to realize their vision. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for creating beautiful and functional living spaces, and a strong understanding of the Scottish planning system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality residential projects from concept to completion.
• Develop architectural drawings, specifications, and material palettes for bespoke homes.
• Manage planning applications and building warrant submissions in Scotland.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and specialist suppliers throughout the project.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design quality on construction sites.
• Collaborate with interior designers and landscape architects to create cohesive living environments.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect with experience in the residential sector.
• Demonstrable portfolio of high-end residential design work.
• Strong knowledge of Scottish building regulations and planning policies.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
• Excellent client liaison and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects efficiently and creatively.
