Residential Care Worker - Elderly Care

About the Role

Our client is seeking compassionate and reliable Residential Care Workers to provide high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a welcoming care home in Nottingham . You will assist residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role is fundamental to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our residents. Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will contribute to promoting independence and a good quality of life for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and continence care.
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning, using aids as required.
• Serve meals and support residents with feeding, monitoring dietary needs.
• Administer medication as prescribed and document accurately.
• Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the senior care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care setting, preferably with the elderly.
• A caring, patient, and compassionate nature.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Willingness to undertake training and achieve care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care).
• Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of dignity, privacy, and respect in care provision.
