Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join their team in Derby . This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to residents within a residential setting, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. You will assist residents with their daily living activities, fostering a supportive and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and hygiene, with respect and dignity.
- Support residents with mobility, ensuring their safety and comfort, and assisting with the use of mobility aids.
- Help residents with meal preparation and feeding, catering to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in social activities, hobbies, and outings to promote engagement and well-being.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior care staff or manager promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations, and any incidents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
- Commitment to promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice.
- Understanding of basic safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
