Residential Lettings Manager

About the Role

Our client, a respected letting agency operating in Sunderland , is seeking an experienced and proactive Residential Lettings Manager to lead their lettings division. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the residential lettings process, from marketing properties and screening tenants to managing tenancies and ensuring landlord satisfaction. You will be responsible for driving business growth, managing a team of lettings negotiators, and maintaining the agency's reputation for excellent service within the Tyne and Wear region. This is a key leadership position for an individual passionate about property and client relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end residential lettings process, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the lettings team, setting performance targets and providing training.
• Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new landlords and tenants.
• Conduct property valuations for rental purposes and advise landlords on optimal rental yields.
• Oversee tenant referencing, contract preparation, and move-in/move-out procedures.
• Handle tenant and landlord queries and resolve any issues that arise during tenancies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential lettings, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law in the UK.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to generate new business and build strong relationships with landlords.
• Proficiency in property management software and standard office applications.
• Full UK driving license is essential for property visits within the Sunderland area.
