About the Role
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Residential Lettings Manager to lead their busy branch in Sunderland . This is a key leadership position, responsible for driving the lettings department forward, managing a team of negotiators, and overseeing all aspects of the rental property process from instruction to move-in. You will play a vital role in increasing market share and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service in the competitive Tyne and Wear lettings market . The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of landlord and tenant legislation and a passion for delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and motivate a team of lettings negotiators to achieve and exceed targets.
- Generate new business by actively marketing the company's lettings services to landlords.
- Oversee the entire lettings process, including property valuations, viewings, referencing, and contract negotiation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant landlord and tenant legislation and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage supplier relationships, including contractors for property maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior role within residential lettings, preferably as a manager or assistant manager.
- In-depth knowledge of the Sunderland and Tyne and Wear lettings market .
- Strong understanding of lettings legislation and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Proficiency in lettings software and CRM systems.
