Scope Of Position
Your role will be responsible for ensuring the security of all residents and their guests who enter the Residences. Working with the wider hotel security team to secure all resident areas both front and back of house. Monitoring and upkeeping security systems, monitoring alarms and responding to emergency calls. The role involves the ability to pre-empt and deliver a luxurious and high-quality level of service whilst managing delivery and service targets. You will work in close contact with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth and consistent service, surpassing the Resident' expectations.
Responsibilities
Operation
- Assist residents and their whilst in the building, communicating clearly and in a friendly manner.
- To ensure the safety and security of staff and guests across the residential areas.
- To monitor and maintain security and safety systems and standards.
- Deal with emergency calls, and issues in a calm and effective manner.
- Responding to fire panel and other alarms as directed by the Security Supervisor/Manager.
- Patrolling and offering a friendly security presence in the lobby and resident areas.
- Monitoring, tracking and reporting all lost property items.
- To report security risks and breaches.
- Escort residents through the building safely when necessary.
- To liaise with external suppliers and contractors on security and safety matters when on site.
- Additional responsibilities in absence of line manager or senior employee.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in the hotel security department if necessary.
Leadership
- Ensuring composure under pressure and providing leadership and guidance to other colleagues when required.
- Actively encouraging and promoting employees to be creative and innovative, whilst recognising them for their contributions to the success of the operation.
Health and Safety
- Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported immediately and rectified.
- Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures.
- Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the Residency, by strict adherence to existing laws, statues and applicable ordinances, and by anticipating possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correcting them or pre-planning a defence against them.
- Stimulate and encourage a general awareness of Health and Safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Valid and in date SIA Licence
- Passion and experience in luxury security or a similar role.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering and offering the best service and experiences possible in any situation.
- A proven track record and ability to provide high levels of service under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining an immaculate and professional appearance.
- An understanding and willingness to contribute to a 24h operational schedule when required.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a luxury residency environment or equivalent standards.
