Residential Support Worker (Learning Disabilities)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential Support Worker to join their dedicated team supporting individuals with learning disabilities in Bristol . This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care within a residential setting, fostering independence, dignity, and choice for each resident. You will assist residents with daily living activities, promote their involvement in community life, and ensure a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to residents, respecting their privacy and dignity.
• Assist residents with daily living tasks, including dressing, bathing, meal times, and medication management.
• Encourage and support residents to participate in a range of social, recreational, and educational activities.
• Promote residents' independence and decision-making in all aspects of their lives.
• Monitor residents' well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate manager.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and resident progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive care approach.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities is highly preferred.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and supporting vulnerable adults.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and person-centred care principles.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as per rota.
