About the Role
Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This crucial role involves providing direct, high-quality care and support to individuals within a residential setting, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives. You will be an integral part of a supportive team, assisting residents with daily living activities, promoting their well-being, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This position is based within the residential facility, offering direct engagement with the individuals you are supporting in Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility.
- Support residents in managing medication, following care plans and protocols.
- Encourage and facilitate social activities and community engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all residents.
- Accurately record observations, care provided, and any changes in resident condition.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a support worker or in a similar care role is advantageous.
- Understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
