Residential Support Worker

About the Role

Our client seeks compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their supportive team in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and the use of assistive devices.
• Prepare and serve meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences, and assist residents with feeding if necessary.
• Encourage and facilitate resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor resident well-being, observing for any changes in physical or mental health, and report concerns to the senior staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for all residents.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care setting, such as a care home or supported living environment, is preferred.
• A genuine desire to work with vulnerable adults and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Good communication and listening skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding resident rights.
• Willingness to undertake further training and development relevant to the role.
