About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team in Portsmouth , contributing to the provision of high-quality care within a supportive residential setting. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive personal care to residents, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and maintaining their living spaces.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote well-being and combat isolation.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior staff or management.
• Ensure the residential environment is safe, clean, and welcoming at all times.
• Develop positive and respectful relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably within a residential setting, is desirable.
• A caring, patient, and empathetic attitude towards vulnerable adults.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory training and professional development.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by the rota.
