Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility needs.
• Support residents in daily activities, such as meal preparation, domestic tasks, and medication management.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
• Develop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with residents and their families.
• Accurately document care provided, observations, and any significant events in resident records.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care or support role, ideally within a residential setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy and patience.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in duties.
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals and promoting their rights.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care are desirable.
