Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care 📍 Greenwich, London 💷 £14.50–£15.00 per hour ⏰ 40 hours per week | Shift work

The Role

We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join a children’s residential home in Greenwich, supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment. As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide practical, emotional and social support, helping young people develop confidence, independence and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality residential care and support.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Build positive, trusting relationships.
• Support education, appointments, activities and life skills.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
• Support daily routines, meals and household tasks.
• Complete care records, reports and handovers.
• Act as a Key Worker for allocated young people.
• Work with families, social workers and other professionals.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and care plans.

About You

• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience supporting children and young people is desirable.
• Experience with emotional/behavioural needs or behaviours that challenge is beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, caring and committed to providing high-quality children’s residential care.
