Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal times, with respect and dignity.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction to promote well-being and combat isolation.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the care manager promptly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, observations, and incidents.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the residential home.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a support worker or caregiving role, preferably within a residential setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a strong desire to help others.
- Good communication and listening skills, able to build rapport with residents.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to follow care plans accurately.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development opportunities.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, evenings, and weekends, based in Birmingham .
