About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to join their supportive living service in Plymouth . This role is focused on providing high-quality care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible within a communal setting. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive, safe, and nurturing environment, supporting residents with their daily routines, personal care, and social activities. Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and maintaining hygiene, with respect for their dignity.
• Support residents with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and managing personal finances.
• Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in social activities, hobbies, and community outings to promote engagement.
• Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any concerns or changes to the senior staff or manager promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications according to care plans and company policies.
• Promote a safe and supportive living environment, adhering to all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a residential care setting or with vulnerable adults is essential.
• Understanding of person-centred care principles and how to promote independence and choice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage workload efficiently.
• Willingness to work a rota system, including evenings, weekends, and potentially sleep-in duties.
• A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of residents in Plymouth .
