About the Role

Our client seeks a commercially astute Retail Architect to design and deliver innovative retail spaces from their thriving Bristol office. This role requires a blend of creative design flair and a practical understanding of retail operations, branding, and customer experience. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing designs that enhance brand identity, optimize store layouts, and create engaging environments for shoppers, working with a range of clients from high-street brands to independent boutiques.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and detailed architectural plans for retail environments.
• Translate brand identity and marketing strategies into compelling physical spaces.
• Ensure designs optimize customer flow, product display, and operational efficiency.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to construction, coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
• Liaise with clients to understand their brand vision, target audience, and business objectives.
• Stay current with retail design trends, materials, and technologies.

Requirements

• Qualified Architect or experienced Architectural Designer with a strong portfolio in retail design.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience specifically in retail architecture or interior design for commercial spaces.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and 3D visualization software.
• Understanding of retail operations, branding principles, and customer psychology.
• Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
