Retail Assistant Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to support the management of their store in Southampton . You will play a key role in driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in daily operations. This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership potential, eager to contribute to a positive store environment and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations.
• Support the sales team in achieving individual and store targets.
• Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently met.
• Manage stock levels, including receiving, displaying, and replenishing merchandise.
• Train and mentor new and existing sales associates.
• Contribute to effective stock control and loss prevention measures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
• Strong understanding of retail sales principles and customer service best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management.
