Retail Assistant – Part Time

Hours: 12 hours across 3 days per week. Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour. Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more. We are recruiting a new retail assistant for our shop in Barnstaple, Devon, offering a permanent part‑time position with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and on shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

• Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy with varied tasks, from deliveries to till work to stock rotation
• Reliable – an important part of a small team, dependable on each shift
• Flexibility with shifts; may need to cover different hours when teammates are on holiday; rota planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments considered
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check if offered the position

Additional Details
