About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Retail Assistant to join their busy store in Sunderland . As a key member of the front-line team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and supporting the sales floor operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about retail to develop their skills in a supportive environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience in our Tyne and Wear location.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Assist with stock replenishment and ensure shelves are well-organized and presented.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including fitting rooms and display areas.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information.
• Support the team with any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and some evenings in Sunderland .
