About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Inventory Planner to join their team in Bristol . This role is essential for ensuring optimal stock levels across their various retail channels, minimizing stockouts while controlling excess inventory. You will be responsible for forecasting demand, planning replenishment, and managing inventory budgets to support sales objectives and maintain high levels of product availability. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory management principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced retail environment. This is an office-based position located in our Bristol headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities.
- Plan and execute inventory replenishment strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across all retail locations and online channels.
- Monitor inventory performance, identify potential risks (e.g., overstock, stockouts), and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with buying, merchandising, and supply chain teams to align inventory plans with business needs.
- Manage inventory budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and service levels.
- Optimize inventory allocation and distribution to maximize sales and minimize carrying costs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory planning , demand forecasting, or supply chain management within the retail sector .
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective inventory management strategies.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and inventory management software.
- Excellent understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a demanding retail environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
