Retail Inventory Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Retail Inventory Specialist for their store in Sheffield . This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring efficient stock control processes. You will be responsible for conducting regular stocktakes, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock efficiency. Your attention to detail will be vital in supporting the overall success and profitability of the retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Manage stockroom organization and ensure efficient storage and retrieval of merchandise.
• Implement and monitor stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and damage.
• Process incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring accurate data entry into the inventory management system.
• Collaborate with store management and sales teams to support stock-related inquiries and needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory management , stock control, or a related role within retail.
• Strong understanding of inventory principles and stock management techniques.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
