About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and trustworthy Retail Loss Prevention Officer to safeguard their store in Wolverhampton . This role is crucial for minimizing shrinkage and ensuring a secure shopping environment for both customers and staff. You will be responsible for implementing strategies to prevent theft, monitoring store activity, and investigating potential losses. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to act discreetly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor store activities to detect and prevent theft, fraud, and other security breaches.
• Conduct regular audits of store operations, inventory, and cash handling procedures.
• Investigate suspected incidents of internal and external theft, gathering evidence and preparing reports.
• Apprehend individuals suspected of shoplifting when necessary, following company policy and legal guidelines.
• Implement and promote loss prevention awareness programs among store staff.
• Operate and monitor security equipment, including CCTV systems.

Requirements

• Previous experience in loss prevention , security, or law enforcement is highly desirable.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent report writing and documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to retail security and apprehension.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in confrontational situations.
• Valid security license or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations.
