Retail Operations Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Retail Operations Coordinator to join their team in Reading , working a hybrid schedule. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of retail operations across multiple store locations. You will support the operations management team by coordinating logistics, managing inventory systems, and implementing operational improvements, with a blend of on-site presence and remote administrative work. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the logistics of stock movement between distribution centres and retail stores.
• Assist in managing and maintaining inventory control systems, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.
• Support the implementation of new operational procedures and initiatives across the retail network.
• Liaise with store teams and external suppliers to resolve operational issues and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Generate reports on key operational metrics, such as stock levels, delivery performance, and operational costs.
• Conduct periodic store visits (on-site) to assess operational standards and provide support, alongside remote administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail operations, logistics, or administrative support role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with inventory management software.
• A meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to hybrid working.
