About the Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering excellent customer service.
Your duties will include:
- Providing a visible security presence within the store.
- Conducting regular store patrols.
- Monitoring and reporting incidents.
- Completing Incident Reports and Daily Occurrence Book (DOB) entries.
- Preventing theft, loss, and anti-social behaviour.
- Carrying out surveillance around the store.
- Supporting store management and staff.
- Building positive relationships with customers, tenants, and visitors.
- Resolving issues and conflict in a calm and professional manner.
- Ensuring all security procedures are followed.
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence .
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A professional approach with strong observational skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities and sound judgement.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A full five-year checkable employment history.
- Previous retail security experience is desirable but not essential.
