Retail Security Relief Officer - Tesco Partnership

Location: Newcastle (NE3 2FP)
Pay: £13.47 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)
Hours: 0-48 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: Monday-Sunday, various shift times: 05:30am - 13:30pm, 06:00am - 14:00pm, 07:00am - 15:00pm, 12:00pm - 20:00pm, 13:30pm - 23:00pm, 15:00pm - 00:00am.

Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Licence

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Acting as a visible deterrent to theft and anti‑social behaviour
• Monitoring premises and responding to incidents and emergencies
• Completing accurate reports and recording observations
• Supporting store management and colleagues as required
• Delivering excellent customer service and assisting customers where needed

What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Licence
• Full 5-year checkable work history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional, confident, and reliable approach
• Good attention to detail and sound judgement
• Calm under pressure
• Previous security experience desirable but not essential

Additional Information

• This is a BWS (Beer, Wine & Spirits) store, meaning alcohol sales can only take place when a Security Officer is on site
• Attendance and punctuality must be exceptional - the store relies on you being on time for every shift
• You will be required to provide a full five‑year checkable employment history
• You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
• Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
• This role is initially on a temporary basis
• There may be opportunity to move onto a permanent contract
• Full flexibility is required due to varying shift times
