Retail Stock Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and meticulous Retail Stock Controller to join their team in Norwich . You will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock flow, and minimizing stock loss. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the store, requiring a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to inventory management. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and possesses a strong understanding of stock control procedures, contributing to the profitability and efficiency of the retail operation in Norfolk .

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, record, and organize incoming stock deliveries.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with management regarding replenishment needs.
• Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
• Organize stockroom and ensure it is maintained in a clean and orderly manner.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a stock control , inventory management, or warehousing role is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems or relevant software.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to stock handling, including lifting and moving goods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a store team in Norwich .
