Retail Stock Controller

About the Role

Our client is looking for an meticulous and reliable Retail Stock Controller to join their team in Bradford . This vital role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management, directly impacting the store's profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for all aspects of stock control, from receiving goods to managing inventory levels and conducting regular stocktakes. The successful candidate will possess a strong analytical mind, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of stock accuracy within a busy retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate receiving, checking, and storing of all incoming inventory.
• Maintain precise stock records using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, identifying and reconciling any discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
• Ensure efficient organization and layout of stockroom and shop floor inventory.
• Collaborate with sales staff and management to ensure adequate stock levels and report on stock movements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in stock control , inventory management, or warehouse operations.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and POS systems.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to stock handling.
• Good numerical and analytical skills for tracking and reporting stock data.
• Reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
