Retail Supervisor – Full Time

Location: Ormesby, North Yorkshire. Working hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week. Pay: £13.61 per hour with a minimum guaranteed of 39 hours per week. Availability must be fully flexible, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager and lead the shop team to run an efficient operation and provide excellent customer service.
• Run the shop in the manager’s absence – open/close, handle cash, place orders, and develop a team of retail assistants.
• Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and all shop routines maintain a safe, clean, tidy environment.
• Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive and hard‑working approach.
• Strong people skills – able to build and maintain positive relationships within the team and with customers.
• Trustworthy and reliable, essential for a small team environment.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is preferred, but applicants ready to start a retail management career are welcome.
• Completing a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if hired.
• Full flexibility for shifts, including weekends and varied days across a five‑day week.
