Retail Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and proactive Retail Supervisor to join their operations team. While this role is primarily remote, it requires occasional site visits to their Edinburgh location for specific tasks and team coordination. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily workflow of the retail team, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service remotely. This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues based both remotely and in-store in Edinburgh .

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the remote and in-store retail team.
• Ensure smooth execution of operational procedures and adherence to company policies.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and customer service.
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members, providing remote guidance and support.
• Conduct periodic checks on inventory accuracy and visual merchandising standards (may involve occasional site visits).
• Address and resolve customer service issues escalated by the team, ensuring timely and satisfactory solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory or management role.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory and customer service best practices.
• Excellent remote communication and organisational skills .
• Proficiency in using various retail software and communication platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Willingness to travel to the Edinburgh store occasionally as needed.
