Retail Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organised Retail Supervisor to join their busy store in Reading . This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with previous retail experience looking to take on more responsibility. You will support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations, directly supervising the sales floor team, ensuring high standards of customer service, and contributing to sales targets. While some operational tasks will require your presence in the Reading store, this role offers a hybrid element, allowing for some remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of retail associates, providing guidance and motivation on the shop floor.
• Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and security.
• Ensure customers receive exceptional service, resolving queries and complaints effectively.
• Support the implementation of visual merchandising standards and maintain store appearance.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory counts, and ensure efficient stock rotation.
• Conduct administrative tasks related to team scheduling, reporting, and operational updates, potentially from a remote location.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or keyholder role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities and a proactive approach to sales.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both on the shop floor and manage administrative tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, as required by the business in Reading .
