About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Risk Analyst to join their progressive insurance business in Belfast . This role is integral to identifying, assessing, and mitigating various risks across the organization, including financial, operational, and strategic risks. You will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management frameworks, contributing to sound decision-making processes, and ensuring the company operates within acceptable risk parameters, playing a key role in safeguarding the business's future stability and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and identify potential threats to the company's assets and operations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze risk exposures, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with different departments to integrate risk management practices into their operations.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in risk management.
- Develop and deliver training programs on risk awareness and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a risk management or analytical role, preferably in the financial services or insurance sector.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, or R.
