About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Risk Management Officer to join their expanding operations in Belfast . This critical role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating a wide range of risks that could impact the organization's financial stability and operational integrity. You will develop and implement robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, working collaboratively across departments to ensure a proactive approach to risk. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and strategies.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks across the organization (e.g., credit, market, operational, regulatory).
- Design and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and controls.
- Prepare regular risk reports for senior management and the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or internal audit within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of various risk types and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, Solvency II).
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) are highly desirable.
