About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Risk Manager specializing in Credit Risk to join their established team in Liverpool . This hybrid role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating credit-related risks across the organization's loan portfolios and financial instruments. You will develop risk management frameworks, conduct stress testing, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. This position offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, promoting both team cohesion and individual productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust credit risk management policies and procedures.
- Analyze portfolio credit quality, monitor key risk indicators, and identify emerging trends.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of adverse economic conditions.
- Evaluate credit applications and structure credit facilities to optimize risk-return profiles.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and present findings to the Risk Committee and senior management.
- Collaborate with business lines to ensure effective risk management practices are embedded in daily operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, particularly within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of credit risk modeling, Basel regulations, and capital adequacy frameworks.
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing responsibilities both remotely and in the office.
