About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and inspiring Room Leader for their vibrant Toddler Room in Portsmouth . This key role involves leading a small team, developing engaging activities, and ensuring the highest standards of care for children aged 1-2 years. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating and safe learning environment, fostering developmental milestones, and building strong relationships with children and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the toddler room team, providing support and guidance.
• Plan and implement creative and age-appropriate activities based on the EYFS framework.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and developmental progress of all children in the room.
• Maintain accurate daily records and observations for each child.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's learning and development.
• Uphold the nursery's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety.

Requirements

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
