Record-to-Report (RTR) Process Specialist – 12-Month FTC, Manchester, Hybrid
Manchester, Hybrid (1 day in office per week)
Are you ready to make an impact in a fast-moving, high-profile finance environment? We’re looking for a Record-to-Report (RTR) Process Specialist to join our Continuous Improvement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About the Team
In Group Finance, we support teams across the business, helping bring content and products to life for audiences nationwide. Our Finance Continuous Improvement team drives key change initiatives, working closely with Finance Operations, IT, and Global Process Owners (GPOs) to ensure processes are efficient, robust, and fit for the future.
About the Role
You’ll play a critical part in supporting our RTR transformation roadmap, acting as the “right hand” to the GPO during a period of significant system and structural change. Key projects include:
- ARCS Implementation (Phases 2 & 3): Embed new reconciliation processes and support the rollout of the ARCS tool across the business.
- Intercompany Processes: Design and implement robust processes to reconcile intercompany balances and resolve long-standing complexities.
- Corporate Simplification: Assist in implementing cross-validation rules in the chart of accounts to enhance data integrity.
- Automation & Efficiency: Lead initiatives across journals, projects, and receipt accounting to reduce manual effort and accelerate month-end close.
- Process Documentation: Maintain high-quality SOPs and user guides for all new system modules and workflows.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops and collaborate with Finance Operations and IT to meet project milestones.
This is a fast-paced, project-heavy role where your work will directly shape the future of RTR processes across the business.
Skills & Experience
- Proven expertise in RTR processes, including month-end close and reconciliations
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion , particularly General Ledger
- Experience in process improvement, process mapping, and system-driven automation
- Strong project coordination skills, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Ability to work in Manchester MediaCity at least 1 day per week
