Act as technical safety and assurance lead for fast‑jet operations Work closely with engineering teams and senior military stakeholders Provide independent, evidence‑based advice on operational decisionsKey Responsibilities
Deliver technical safety and assurance across fast‑jet training and operations Review and challenge: Engineering decisions Risk assessments Safety cases and supporting documentation Ensure compliance with: Civil aviation regulations Military aviation regulations Internal safety and engineering standards Present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders Operate as a key interface between: Engineering Safety Front‑line flying operationsIdeal Candidate Profile
Background in aerospace / aeronautical engineering Ideally: Ex‑military OR Significant military aviation / defence aerospace experience Exposure to: Airworthiness Technical assurance Engineering management Civil and Military aviation regulation Platform experience: Fast‑jet strongly preferred Helicopter or relevant civilian aerospace considered Personal attributes: Confident and credible with senior officers Comfortable challenging decisions using data and evidence Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Security: SC clearance eligible (active is highly preferred) What's in It for You
