Job Responsibilities
- Driving a 3.5T automatic van making deliveries to customers in the local area.
- Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
- Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
- Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
- Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
- Performing general warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system, putting it away, and picking and packing customer orders, which may involve manual handling of heavy stock such as boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets.
Working Hours
This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, and alternate Saturday mornings 08:00 - 12:00.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Driving Licence is essential.
- Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal.
- Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience is essential.
- Warehouse experience.
- The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Team player who is willing to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
- Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
