About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Sales Coordinator to join a growing business. This is a varied role supporting the sales process from enquiry through to dispatch, while building strong customer relationships and contributing to marketing and exhibition activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for customer sales enquiries and provide outstanding customer service.
- Process and manage customer orders across multiple sales channels, including website, email, telephone, wholesale platforms, and exhibitions.
- Coordinate order amendments, back orders, dispatch updates, and customer communications.
- Prepare order confirmations, proforma invoices, and follow up outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate customer, product, stock, and order records using internal systems.
- Monitor stock availability and work closely with internal teams to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Coordinate the transfer of orders to warehouse and fulfilment teams, ensuring invoicing accuracy.
- Follow up website enquiries and sales leads, identifying opportunities to generate repeat business.
- Attend trade exhibitions, promote products, generate leads, and convert opportunities into sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Produce regular sales reports and support pricing, catalogue, and sample management activities.
- Assist with marketing initiatives and ensure online product information remains accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, account management, sales support, or sales administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service abilities.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence communicating with customers via phone, email, and face-to-face.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using Sage50 or similar CRM/ERP systems.
- Experience attending trade shows or exhibitions.
- Knowledge of order processing and sales administration.
- Experience within shipping coordination or administration.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
