About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Development Manager to build and lead their growing sales development team, operating remotely with a focus on the Plymouth region. This leadership role is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales development strategies, coaching and mentoring the SDR team, and driving the generation of high-quality leads for the sales pipeline. You will be instrumental in shaping the early stages of the customer journey, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the team consistently meets its targets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales development strategy to generate qualified leads.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team.
- Implement training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the SDRs.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing leadership to align strategies and optimize the lead funnel.
- Continuously analyse and refine processes to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales development or a related sales leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing high-performing sales development teams.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and CRM systems.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Ability to analyse data and drive strategic decisions based on performance metrics.
