Salesforce Technical Architect - Sales, Service, Data, Marketing and Commerce Cloud

12‑month contract (highly likely extension – programme duration 3–5 years)

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to play a key role in a major, multi‑year digital transformation programme. This is a greenfield Salesforce implementation where you’ll shape the architecture from the ground up and integrate it across a broader digital ecosystem including Web, Mobile Apps, DAM, and streaming platforms.

You’ll work as a senior individual contributor within an Agile delivery squad , acting as the critical bridge between Salesforce and the wider digital landscape—ensuring seamless customer journeys, data alignment, and technical excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and govern the end‑to‑end Salesforce technical architecture
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and digital transformation strategy

Integration & Platforms

• Define integration strategy with third‑party systems (incl. AWS Connect)
• Design scalable integrations using MuleSoft, APIs (REST/SOAP), and event‑driven architectures

Data & Security Governance

• Own the Salesforce enterprise data model
• Implement GDPR‑compliant security frameworks , IAM, SSO, OAuth

Technical Assurance

• Lead design authority reviews and code governance
• Ensure performance, scalability, and compliance before releases
• Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Teams, and SIs
• Translate complex requirements into scalable technical designs
• Lead PoCs for new features (e.g. Agentforce / AI‑driven capabilities )
• Evaluate technical feasibility before full delivery
• Provide guidance and elevate Salesforce Developers across the team

What Success Looks Like

• End‑to‑end architecture and design governance
• Defined data models, integrations, and process flows
• High‑quality UAT readiness and traceability
• Strong stakeholder alignment and delivery confidence

Your Skills & Experience

• 8–10+ years’ experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect
• Proven delivery on large‑scale digital transformation programmes
• Strong expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud
• Deep experience with integration patterns (API‑led, event‑driven), omnichannel/customer journey design, Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Exposure to Marketing Cloud and/or Agentforce
• Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms
• Retail or consumer‑facing programme experience
• Knowledge of data migration and compliance constraints

Certifications

• Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect (essential)
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – highly advantageous
