About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Sanitation Team Lead to oversee their cleaning operations in the Cambridge area. This leadership role is vital for ensuring that all facilities meet the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. You will lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff, manage schedules, conduct quality checks, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. While direct supervision of the team occurs on-site, significant aspects of the role, including strategic planning, reporting, and remote team coordination, are managed through hybrid working practices. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of sanitation and cleaning staff.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures for various facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning quality and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop and refine sanitation strategies.
- Address any cleaning-related issues or concerns promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a cleaning supervision or team lead role, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage schedules, delegate tasks, and motivate a team effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Willingness to work across different sites in the Cambridge region and engage in hybrid working for administrative tasks.
