Saw Operator

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-owned business with a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability and innovation within the metals and plastics industry.

Our client specialises in the trade of aluminium, copper, brass, gunmetal, bronze, special alloys and plastic materials , supplying customers across a wide range of sectors.

Duties will include:

• Operating band saws and plate saws safely and efficiently
• Cutting materials to specification
• Reading and interpreting job instructions
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
• Loading and unloading materials
• General warehouse and production duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating band saws and/or plate saws
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• FLT Counterbalance licence/experience would be advantageous but is not essential

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay Rate:

• £15.00 per hour
