We are seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Hemel Hempstead. The school is keen to welcome graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields, particularly those with aspirations toward Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or wider mental health roles.

If you are enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to make a positive difference, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. Previous experience working with children in any setting is beneficial, but the school places equal value on your passion, attitude, and commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.

Pupils present with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism, and behavioural difficulties. For this reason, the school is looking for individuals who can commit for a minimum of 12 months to provide the consistency and stability their learners rely on.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client’s pay policy.

Salary: £470 – £525/week
