The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members

, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job purpose/about the role

To assist with the provision of administrative and clerical support within secondary schools, financial and administrative duties in accordance with corporate and school procedures.

The working pattern can be negotiated, however we require the postholder to work a split shift over 2 days including a Friday and during school hours. The successful candidate will have previous school office support experience, be confident in using IT systems, be well organised, show good initiative and have a kind and nurturing ethos.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

• PVG membership for regulated work with children OR willingness to obtain prior to commencing work

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

• High level of competency in using Microsoft packages
• Ability to contribute positively to a team, including in a supervisory role where required
