General Science Teacher – Physics Specialism
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester Start Date: ASAP Duration: Long-term, until July 2027 Contract: Full-time School: Independent mainstream co-educational school
We are currently seeking an experienced General Science Teacher with a Physics specialism to join a successful independent co-educational school in Bury.
The successful candidate will be confident teaching:
- Biology: KS3 & KS4 GCSE
- Chemistry: KS3 & KS4 GCSE
- Physics: KS3, KS4 GCSE & up to Year 12 A Level
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Science Teacher who enjoys teaching across all three Science disciplines, with particular expertise in Physics.
You will join a supportive and academically focused environment, delivering engaging and well-planned lessons while helping students achieve strong academic outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
- Is particularly confident teaching Physics up to A Level.
- Has experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
- Has strong classroom management skills.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils.
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about Science.
- Has experience in an independent or academically focused school environment (desirable, but not essential).
