We are currently recruiting for a Science Technician with a strong Chemistry background to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chemistry graduate, laboratory professional or experienced Science Technician looking for a long-term role within a supportive and successful Science Department.

The Role

Prepare equipment, chemicals and resources for practical lessons.

Support teachers with experiments and demonstrations.

Safely handle, store and dispose of chemicals.

Maintain high standards of laboratory health and safety.

Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and resources.

Provide day-to-day technical support to the Science Department.

Requirements

Strong Chemistry background - essential.

Chemistry degree or related scientific discipline - desirable.

Previous laboratory experience - highly desirable.

Confident handling chemicals safely.

Good understanding of laboratory health and safety.

Strong IT and organisational skills.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Reliable, proactive and professional approach.

Genuine desire to pursue a long-term career as a Science Technician.
