Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist

About the Role

Our client is searching for a highly skilled and analytical Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to enhance their online visibility from their base in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and increase website conversions. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine algorithms, keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization techniques, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement on-page and technical SEO strategies to improve website crawlability and indexability.
• Develop and execute off-page SEO strategies, including link building and content promotion.
• Monitor website performance using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and report on key metrics.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with content creators and web developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital assets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, tools, and techniques (both technical and content-focused).
• Proficiency with SEO software and web analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
