About the Role

Our client is recruiting a passionate and knowledgeable Secondary School History Teacher to join their esteemed faculty in Leeds . This role involves delivering dynamic and inspiring history lessons to students across various key stages, fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of historical events and their impact. You will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's success and help students develop a lifelong appreciation for history and its relevance to the modern world, within a supportive and well-resourced school.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality history lessons that engage students and meet learning objectives.
• Assess student work regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel motivated to learn.
• Contribute to the development and review of the history curriculum and departmental resources.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in History or a related subject.
• Experience teaching history at the secondary level.
• Strong subject matter expertise and passion for history education.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
