About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and skilled Secondary School Mathematics Teacher to join a dynamic department in Birmingham, West Midlands . This role involves inspiring students aged 11-16 to develop a strong understanding and appreciation for mathematics. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 .
• Set and mark homework, coursework, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Monitor student academic progress and provide targeted support to those who are struggling or need extension.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the mathematics curriculum and school policies.
• Foster a positive and challenging classroom environment that promotes active learning and engagement with mathematical concepts.

Requirements

• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject, coupled with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Demonstrable experience in teaching mathematics to secondary school students in the UK education system .
• In-depth knowledge of the secondary mathematics curriculum, including GCSE requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and colleagues.
• Ability to integrate technology into mathematics teaching to enhance understanding.
