About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Secondary School Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking school in Milton Keynes . This role involves teaching science across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a deep interest and understanding in scientific principles among students. You will be instrumental in equipping students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging practical and theoretical lessons. The position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality science education, contributing to departmental development, and supporting the overall ethos of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging and effective science lessons covering biology, chemistry, and physics at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level .
• Develop and implement stimulating curriculum plans, experiments, and assessments.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore scientific concepts.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure the safety of students during practical work.
• Collaborate with the science department and other staff on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Provide feedback and support to students to help them achieve their best in science qualifications.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in a relevant Science discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Demonstrable experience teaching secondary school science in the UK.
• Excellent understanding of the national curriculum for science and assessment requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
